Well, all you need is to update your color scheme, and that’s exactly what we do in this crochet autumn-colored rose charm with the hanging leaves! Learn how to crochet this 3-rose flower charm this fall as a gift for a loved one in less than 20 minutes. The idea is to crochet three basic roses in earthy red and golden yellow, and arrange them over a ruffled crochet sepal. Below are hanging the same basic crochet leaves that you learned in the last tutorial as well as in my beginner master class.

This is a mini flower charm, but for autumn gifting and a perfect spring-memory accessory to attach to your fall tote bag. You can learn how to crochet this fall rose bag charm in under 11 minutes.

Tutorial to Crochet the Fall Rose & Leaves Charm

This is a crochet pattern for a flower bag charm. You make three small roses using orange and yellow yarn. You make a green round base. You add a long loop and two leaves to the base. You glue the flowers onto the green base. You can hang this charm on the handle of a bag.

Materials

Yarn:
- Cotton yarn (5-ply) in Green for the base and leaves.
- Acrylic yarn (3-ply) in Orange and Yellow for the flowers.
Hook: 3.0 mm crochet hook.
Tools: Scissors, Stitch marker, Yarn needle, Glue gun.

Abbreviations

mr: Magic Ring
sl st: Slip Stitch
ch: Chain
sc: Single Crochet
hdc: Half Double Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
inc: Increase (2 stitches in one stitch)
picot: ch 1, sl st into the first chain

Pattern Instructions

The Roses (Make 3: Two in Orange, One in Yellow)

Start with a slip knot and ch 14.
Skip the first chain. In the next chain, work 1 sc and 2 hdc into that same chain.
In the next chain, work 3 dc into that same chain.
In the next 11 chains, work the following pattern into every chain: (2 dc, ch 1, picot, 1 dc).
ch 2 and sl st into the last chain to finish the strip.
Cut the yarn, leaving a short tail.
Roll the strip from one end to the other to create a rose shape. Use a needle to sew through the bottom of the roll to keep the flower together.

The Green Base

Round 1: Make a mr, work 8 sc into the ring. (8 stitches)
Round 2: Work 8 inc around. (16 stitches)
Round 3: Work (1 sc, 1 inc) 8 times around. (24 stitches)
Round 4: Work (1 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc) 8 times around. (32 stitches)
Round 5 (The Edge): sl st, ch 3, sl st into the next stitch. Repeat this all the way around the circle to make a wavy edge.
Hanging Loop: Without cutting the yarn, ch 45. sl st back into the base to form a large loop. Fasten off.

The Leaves and Stems (Make 2)

Start with a slip knot and ch 8.
Skip the first chain. Work into the next 7 chains: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc.
ch 1 and rotate the piece to work on the other side of the chains.
Work into the other side: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc.
sl st into the first stitch to join the leaf.
The Stem: Without cutting the yarn, ch 20.
Use a needle to sew the end of the stem (ch 20) to the bottom of the green base.
