Crochet No-Sew Rose Turtle Plushie

Let’s crochet a no-sew rose turtle. First, you crochet the head and four triangular fins. For the shell base, you crochet half double crochets in the round. You then work in the third loops to create spirals.

The rose petals are formed by crocheting stitches directly into these visible front loops. Next, you change colors and crochet the body, attaching the head and fins as you go by working through both pieces at once. After stuffing the body, you decrease to close the bottom. Finally, a yarn needle is used to secure the wobbly head.

Difficulty Level:

Intermediate.

This pattern requires knowledge of working in a spiral, crocheting in the “third loop” of a half double crochet to leave ridges, making complex petal clusters (combining single, half double, and double crochets in tight spaces), and joining multiple pieces (head and fins) seamlessly.
