Welcome to another part of the crochet “Autumn LOVE present plushies” series! Well, I have already shared the pumpkin-lover kitty as well as the pumpkin-lover Rhinoceros amigurumi plushies! But I am still sure you won’t be able to resist the charm of this crochet little puppy hugging a big pumpkin plushie. This is the CUTEST couple gift idea of this year and one of the best crochet pumpkin-animal hybrid plushies I have FEATURED so far. Place this little puppy holding a pumpkin plushie on your work table or bedside table!
This crochet puppy pumpkin plush will keep your stress miles away from you as it is huggable and sits on its own. There are two variations of this crochet pumpkin lover puppy dog plushie: the one made with dull orange fuzzy yarn and the one with chennile bright orange yarn.

I would recommend you crochet both of these plush pumpkin dog variations, and when they are placed together facing each other, they look the cutest! We will be crocheting a sleepy brown and white sitting puppy plushie that looks to me more like a crochet Snoopy plush. However, this variation is the CUTEST in my opinion. Now, continue reading to learn more about this plush pumpkin-dog project for fall.

Tutorial to Crochet the Pumpkin-Hugging Puppy Plushie
This video shows how to crochet a pumpkin puppy plushie step-by-step. You start by making the plush puppy parts, including the head, snout, floppy ears, paws, and tail. Next, you crochet a textured pumpkin body with ridges using orange yarn. The stem and leaves are made separately using green yarn.
After crocheting each piece, you stuff the body parts with fiberfill and attach the safety eyes to the head. Finally, you sew all the crocheted pieces together so the puppy appears to hug the pumpkin, creating a complete fall-themed plushie.

Difficulty Level
Easy-Intermediate
Why: The tutorial uses basic crochet stitches worked in rounds, which makes crafting individual parts easy. However, it requires making many separate pieces (ears, snout, paws, pumpkin, stem, and leaves) and sewing them together symmetrically, which requires patience and careful placement.
