Tutorial to Crochet the Plush Christmas Tree & the Star

In this tutorial, learn how to make a crochet Christmas tree and star. First, you make two grey legs using bulky yarn. Then, you crochet the green tree. You start at the top and increase. You use special loops to add white trim and a brown trunk.

While making the trunk, you attach the legs. You stuff the tree as you go and sew the bottom closed. For the star, you crochet two yellow shapes with five arms. You sew them together and put the star on the tree. Finally, you add safety eyes to finish.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

This project is intermediate because it uses front loop only (FLO) and back loop only (BLO) stitches to create layers. Attaching the legs while crocheting the body requires good hook control. The star also uses a specific decrease stitch that requires working into multiple stitches at once.
