Now, I am recommending and sharing a FREE pattern to crochet this SUPER CUTE Snoopy puppy in an autumn pumpkin plush that looks even cuter and a bit funny and stress-relieving. We also have a long crochet coiled vine and a curved crochet stem.

Also, makeup blush is added to the cheeks. This makes it the CUTEST crochet plush dog I have covered so far. Crochet this puppy in a pumpkin plush as a Valentine’s Day gift or a Halloween desk buddy for you.

Pattern to Crochet the Autumn Puppy Plushie

Skill Level: Beginner – Level 4

Materials & Abbreviations

Yarn: Thick plush/chenille yarn (~5 mm) in White, Black, Orange, and Green
Tools: 4.0 mm or 4.5 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, stitch markers, scissors, polyester fiberfill stuffing, black felt cloth, fabric glue, pink blush
Abbreviations (US Terms): mr (magic ring), sc (single crochet), inc (increase: 2 sc in same st), dec (decrease: sc 2 sts together), ch (chain), st (stitch), [ ] (total stitch count)

Puppy Head (White Yarn)

Round 1: Work 8 sc into a magic ring [8 sts].
Round 2: Work 1 inc in each stitch around [16 sts].
Round 3: Repeat (1 sc, 1 inc) 8 times [24 sts].
Round 4: Repeat (1 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc) 8 times [32 sts].
Rounds 5–6: Work 1 sc in each stitch around for 2 rounds [32 sts].
Round 7: Repeat (3 sc, 1 inc) 8 times [40 sts].
Rounds 8–9: Work 1 sc in each stitch around for 2 rounds [40 sts].
Round 10: Repeat (2 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc) 8 times [48 sts].
Rounds 11–14: Work 1 sc in each stitch around for 4 rounds [48 sts].
Round 15: Repeat (2 sc, 1 dec) 12 times [36 sts].
Round 16: Repeat (2 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc) 6 times [30 sts].
Round 17: Repeat (3 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [24 sts].
Round 18: Repeat (2 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [18 sts].
Round 19: Repeat (1 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [12 sts]. Stuff the head firmly with fiberfill.
Round 20: Work 6 dec around [6 sts]. Fasten off, weave the tail through the front loops of the remaining stitches, pull tight to close, and weave in the end.

Ears (Make 2, Black Yarn – Do Not Stuff)

Round 1: Work 8 sc into a magic ring [8 sts].
Round 2: Repeat (1 sc, 1 inc) 4 times [12 sts].
Rounds 3–8: Work 1 sc in each stitch around for 6 rounds [12 sts].
Round 9: Repeat (4 sc, 1 dec) 2 times [10 sts].
Round 10: Work 1 sc in each stitch around [10 sts].
Round 11: Repeat (3 sc, 1 dec) 2 times [8 sts].
Round 12: Work 1 sc in each stitch around [8 sts]. Fasten off, leaving a 10-inch yarn tail for sewing. Press flattened.

Arms (Make 2, White Yarn)

Round 1: Work 6 sc into a magic ring [6 sts].
Round 2: Repeat (2 sc, 1 inc) 2 times [8 sts].
Rounds 3–9: Work 1 sc in each stitch around for 7 rounds [8 sts]. Stuff lightly.
Finish: Flatten the top opening and work 4 sc across opposite stitches to seal the top edge closed. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Pumpkin Base (Orange Yarn)

Round 1: Work 6 sc into a magic ring [6 sts].
Round 2: Work 1 inc in each stitch around [12 sts].
Round 3: Repeat (1 sc, 1 inc) 6 times [18 sts].
Round 4: Repeat (2 sc, 1 inc) 6 times [24 sts].
Round 5: Repeat (3 sc, 1 inc) 6 times [30 sts].
Round 6: Repeat (4 sc, 1 inc) 6 times [36 sts].
Round 7: Repeat (5 sc, 1 inc) 6 times [42 sts].
Round 8: Repeat (6 sc, 1 inc) 6 times [48 sts].
Rounds 9–17: Work 1 sc in each stitch around for 9 rounds [48 sts].
Round 18: Repeat (6 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [42 sts].
Round 19: Repeat (5 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [36 sts].

Stuff with fiberfill.

Round 20: Repeat (4 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [30 sts].
Round 21: Repeat (3 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [24 sts].
Round 22: Repeat (2 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [18 sts].
Round 23: Repeat (1 sc, 1 dec) 6 times [12 sts].

Stuff firmly with fiberfill.

Round 24: Work 6 dec around [6 sts]. Fasten off.

Stem & Curly Vine (Green Yarn)

Stem Round 1: Work 3 sc into a magic ring [3 sts].
Stem Rounds 2: inc in each stitch across. (6).
R3-8: Work 1 sc in each stitch around for 9 rounds [6 sts]. Fasten off with a tail.
Stem Round 9: inc in each stitch.
Stem Round 10: [sc, inc] * 6 (18)
Vine Chain: Chain 25-30. Starting in the 2nd chain from hook, work 2 sc into every chain stitch across to create the curl [48 sts]. Fasten off with a tail.

Assembly & Details

Pumpkin Shaping: Thread the 24-inch dark orange thread into a yarn needle. Pull it through the center hole from bottom to top, wrap it around the outside wall, and pull back through the bottom center. Cinch tightly to form 6 distinct pumpkin ridges.
Attaching Head & Body: Sew the bottom of the white head onto the top center of the shaped pumpkin base.
Attaching Arms & Ears: Sew the ears to the upper sides of the head between Rounds 4 and 5 (about 5.5 cm apart). Sew the arms to the lower front sides of the head so they rest on top of the pumpkin.
Stem & Vine: Sew the straight stem to the top center of the head. Attach the curly vine directly beside the base of the stem so it drapes down over the head.
Facial Features: Cut two small oval eyes and one tiny oval nose out of black felt. Glue the eyes onto Round 12 (6 stitches apart) and the nose in between them. Dab a bit of makeup blush under the eyes to complete the cheeks.
