  • Rnd 5: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)

  • Rnd 6 – 7: sc in each st around (24)

  • Embroidering the Spots: Before moving to the stem, take a scrap piece of white plush yarn and a needle. Randomly embroider small white spots across the red cap, securing the loose ends on the inside.

The Stem & Anti-Stress Joint

Eyes & Stuffing

  • Insert Safety Eyes: Place the 9 mm safety eyes between Rounds 14 and 15, leaving a few stitches of space between them.

  • Stuffing: Firmly stuff the lower portion of the white stem with fiberfill. Do not overstuff the folding joint area.

Finishing

  • Rnd 17: 6 dec (6)

  • Add any final bits of stuffing to make the base firm.

  • Cut the yarn, leaving a short tail. Thread the tail into a yarn needle, weave it through the front loops of the remaining 6 stitches, pull tight to close the hole, and securely weave in your end.
