Last year, I FEATURED both the Hello Kitty skeleton and the Hello Kitty witch girl tutorials. But I missed sharing today’s crochet amigurumi Hello Kitty cosplay tutorial. So, learn how to crochet this medium-sized amigurumi Hello Kitty in a black cat costume for Halloween, along with the 2 spooky stuffed accessories, with a step-by-step tutorial for beginners. Our crochet Hello Kitty is sitting over a smiling & spooky ribbed pumpkin amigurumi and holding a small skull amigurumi that wears a little bow tie, too. Be sure to crochet one this Halloween as a desk buddy.

You can choose from the blue and black variant of these Hello Kitty cosplay amigurumi. And again, this is part of the exclusive Halloween Hello Kitty crochet series. This time, we will crochet a separate hoodie for our sitting cat amigurumi.

You will also learn how to crochet a larger red bow tie for Hello Kitty. You can also use kawaii plastic eyes for your Hello Kitty, as the recommended ones are the oval eyes, not the round eyes. I would also recommend using the felt triangle eyes instead of the embroidery oval eyes for the pumpkin amigurumi and making the jack-o-lantern smile look more zig-zag. You can also let your Hello Kitty wear a witch hat. Now, continue reading to learn more about this oh-so-cute Halloween amigurumi project!

Tutorial to Crochet the Set of Hello Kitty Cat Costume Amigurumi

This tutorial shows how to crochet a Halloween Hello Kitty amigurumi wearing a black cat hoodie and holding a small skull. First, crochet the cat hoodie and head using single crochet stitches, then place safety eyes and a nose. Next, stitch the cat ears, Hello Kitty ribbon, body, hands, and legs.

After that, create a small skull using single crochet stitches and puff stitches for the tail. Finally, stuff the parts with fiber, sew all pieces together, attach the skull to the hands, and embroider facial details.
