How to Make the Difficult Stitch (Bobble Stitch / BO)
The bobble stitch creates the raised bumps used for the cactus paws:
Yarn over, insert the hook into the specified stitch, yarn over, and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook).
Yarn over and pull through the first 2 loops (leaving 2 loops on hook; 1st incomplete double crochet).
Repeat steps 1–2 four more times into the exact same stitch. You will have 6 loops on your hook (5 incomplete double crochets + initial working loop).
Yarn over one final time and pull the yarn through all 6 loops on the hook to close the cluster.
Push the bump toward the right (outside) side of your fabric to form a rounded paw.
