Pattern to Crochet A Flower Outfit Twinkle Plush

In this project, you crochet clothes for a small toy. You make a flower hat using six petals. You make white pants. You make a yellow cone hat. You make a small star for the hat.

You attach a hanging keychain loop to the top. You make only chain stitch legs and arms on the toy body. This makes a funny leggy toy that hangs.

Materials List

Plush / Velvet yarn (Chenille yarn) in Light Yellow, Dark Yellow, White, and your choice of color for the petals
2.5 mm crochet hook
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Keychain loop/clasp

Flower Headpiece

Petals (Make 6)

Round 1: Make 5 sc in a MR. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (5 sts)
Round 2: Work 5 inc. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (10 sts)
Round 3: Work 10 sc. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (10 sts)
Round 4: Work 10 sc. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (10 sts)
- Fasten off and cut the yarn. Make 6 petals in total.

Joining the Petals

Join your yarn to the edge of the first petal.
Crochet 5 sc across the top edge of the first petal.
Continue crocheting 5 sc across the edge of each of the remaining 5 petals to connect them all in a circle. (30 sc total)
Join with a sl st to the first st, ch 1, and fasten off.

Pants / Underwear

Use White yarn:

Row 1: Chain 25. Join with a sl st to the first chain to make a large ring. Ch 1.
Row 2: Work 1 sc in the same stitch, then 1 sc in the next stitch. Ch 1, turn. (2 sts)
Row 3: Work 1 dec in FLO (front loops only).
Leg Strap: Chain 7.
Count across the large ring and sl st to the opposite side to form two equal leg holes. Ch 1, fasten off, and cut the yarn.

Yellow Cone Hat

Use Light Yellow yarn:

Round 1: Make 6 sc in a MR. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (6 sts)
Round 2: Work 6 sc. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (6 sts)
Round 3: Repeat (2 sc, 1 inc) 2 times. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (8 sts)
Round 4: Work 8 sc. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (8 sts)

Round 5: Repeat (3 sc, 1 inc) 2 times. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (10 sts)
Round 6: Work 10 sc. Join with a sl st, ch 1. (10 sts)

Use Dark Yellow yarn:

Pull the MR tight, fasten off, and sew the star to the top/side of the cone hat.

Assembly & Keychain Finishing

Attach a keychain loop securely to the top of the flower headpiece (or the tip of the cone hat) so the finished toy hangs freely.
When crocheting the doll base to wear this outfit, crochet only long chain-stitch legs and arms (e.g., chain 15 for each limb) to complete the funny, leggy look.
