Tutorial to Crochet a Dressed Flower on the Top Amigurumi

This tutorial shows how to crochet a small standing goat toy. You first crochet the separate pieces: the muzzle, ears, horns, and arms. After making these parts, you crochet the body from the flat base upward. You shape the skirt and blouse, joining the arms directly into the body.

You continue crocheting upward to make the neck and head, crocheting in the muzzle and ears along the way. You place safety eyes, add stuffing, and close the top. Finally, you sew on the horns, embroider the face, crochet the decorative apron, and add a small flower and beads.

Intermediate

  • Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (semi-cotton, 50 g / 160 m) in beige (body/head), off-white/cream (shirt/apron), dusty rose/pink (skirt/stripes), dark brown (horns), and thin black yarn/thread (face embroidery)

  • Crochet Hook: 2.0 mm

  • Eyes: 10 mm safety eyes

  • Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill

The decorative edge of the apron uses a picot stitch:

  1. Work a single crochet (sc) into the stitch.

  2. Chain 3 stitches (ch 3).

  3. Insert your hook into the front loop and left bar of the base single crochet (or into the top of the single crochet).

  4. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all loops on the hook to complete a slip stitch (sl st), creating a small round point.
