Rnd 12 (The Ruffle): Work in FLO for this round. [Sl st in next st, skip 1 st, 4 hdc in next st, skip 1 st] repeat around to create the yellow ruffled edge. Fasten off yellow yarn.

Part 2: The Checkered Cone
Attach Orange Yarn to the first unworked Back Loop from Rnd 11, behind the ruffle. Note: Carry both Orange and White yarn throughout the cone. Alternate between Orange and White every 2 stitches, swapping starting colors every 2 rounds to maintain the checkerboard pattern.
Rnd 13: Working in BLO of Rnd 11, [2 sc in Orange, 2 sc in White] 6 times around. (24)
Rnd 14: [2 sc, dec] 6 times, continuing to alternate colors every 2 stitches. (18)

Pause to stuff the scoop firmly and begin stuffing the upper cone.
Rnd 20: Dec 6 times. (6)
Rnd 21: Sc in each st around. (6)
Finish: Fasten off leaving a short tail. Weave the tail through front loops of the remaining 6 stitches, pull tight to close the bottom tip, and hide the end.

Detailed Assembly & Finishing Guide
Facial Feature Embroidery:
Thread a needle with fine black embroidery thread or yarn.
Embroider two downward-slanted lines (
\and/) in the middle of the white face patch across Rnds 7–8 to create sleepy eyes.Space the inner corners of the eyes about 3 to 4 stitches apart.
Horn Attachment:
Position the wide, open white ends of the jester horns on the top sides of the yellow head (spanning Rnds 3–6).
Pin them in place so the white-yellow-orange color blocks drape down beside the face patch.
Using the long white tail end, whip stitch around the base of each horn to secure it firmly to the yellow scoop.
Bell Attachment:
Thread a small piece of orange yarn through the loop of an orange jingle bell.
Securely stitch one bell to the bottom orange tip (Rnd 1) of each jester horn. Weave and hide all loose ends inside the horns.
