I am pretty excited to share today’s crochet mushroom plush tutorial, as it is sure to be the CUTEST mushroom character plushie I have covered so far! This crochet cozy woodland mushroom plush will become your sweet desk buddy throughout the fall & it is also quick & easy to crochet. We shall crochet a low-sew chubby toadstool mushroom with larger-than-usual glitter eyes and a squishy cap.
Kids can also play with this crochet mushroom by “pulling & pressing” the cap of this baby mushroom. Or they can change the angle of the cap to make it look even cuter.
This mushroom plush is a medium-sized version of the viral “mushroom fidget toy” with a UNIQUE and cuter body shape. You can easily crochet yours using the super bulky yarn within 45 minutes. Learn how to crochet a cute plush toadstool using velvet yarn. You start by crocheting the stem from the bottom up using a magic ring, single crochets, and standard increases. Then, crochet the ridges for the base and the upper rim by working in BLO & FLO. After attaching safety eyes to the stem, you make a decorative, frilly, wavy edge around the middle.

To make a decrease neatly in amigurumi using the front loops:
Identify the next two stitches you want to combine. Insert your hook under the front loop only of the first stitch (the loop closest to you). Work the decrease by crocheting a single crochet.
