1. Donut Body (Make 2 Panels)

Important Yarn Tail Note: Leave a long initial yarn tail before making your slip knot (about 12 inches) on the first panel, AND a long tail when finishing (about 18–24 inches). For the second panel, use standard-length tails.
Initial Chain: Slip knot, Ch 20. Form a ring by making 1 SC directly into the 1st chain made. (Be careful not to twist the chain ring. This first SC counts as the 1st stitch of Round 1).

Round 2: (3 SC, Inc) × 6 [30]
Round 3: (4 SC, Inc) × 6 [36]

Round 1: 6 SC in a Magic Ring [6]
Round 2: 6 Inc [12]

Fasten Off: Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing onto the donut. Attach a small green bell to the rim using a jump ring if desired.

Assembly & Finishing
Sew Inner Ring: Place both brown donut panels together with right sides facing out. Thread the long starting tail from the center chain. Whipstitch the inner chain edges of both panels together stitch-by-stitch all the way around the hole. Knot and secure inside.
Sew Outer Edge & Stuff: Align the 48 stitches of the outer edge. Begin sewing through both loops of both pieces. When 3/4 of the way around, firmly and evenly stuff the donut ring with fiberfill. Finish sewing closed and weave in ends.
Attach Eyes: Position the green eye bases side-by-side on the upper front half of the donut body. Sew them down securely. Fasten the safety eye washers through the back of the front donut panel (if accessible) or simply glue/sew the flat backs tightly if the donut is already sealed.
Wrap the Mummy: Take your 150-stitch white strip and wrap it around the stuffed donut ring. Criss-cross the strip diagonally over the front and back, tucking the ends behind the donut. Ensure the wraps stretch over the edges of the green eyes, but leave the black pupils fully visible. Use the long white yarn tail to tack the strip down in several hidden spots so it does not shift.
Attach Appendages:
Sew the two legs to the bottom of the donut, spacing them slightly apart.
Sew the arms to the left and right sides of the donut. Tuck the top seams of the arms slightly under the white mummy wraps so they appear to be bursting out. Ensure the thumbs point inward.
Attach Hat: Pin the completed hat to the top right curve of the donut, slightly overlapping the mummy wraps. Sew securely into place.
