Today, I am featuring this year’s CUTEST crochet reindeer plushie & the FREE step-by-step tutorial! You will learn how to crochet these miniature plush fawn/reindeer amigurumi plushies that are no-sew, quick, and super easy for even beginners. Standing roughly 8–9 cm tall, this pocket-sized deer is crocheted entirely in one piece without any sewing. Wears a little scarf that you can crochet in red, green, and even blue!

The four hooves, tail, muzzle, ears, and branching antlers are all crocheted seamlessly into the body and head from the bottom up.

Complete with embroidered forehead spots, sculpted eyes, and a colorful miniature scarf, this charming project works up quickly and can stand on its own or be turned into a cute keychain or bag charm.

Worked in Round 3 to form the little protruding hooves:

  1. Work the preceding single crochet up to the last yarn-over; pull through with dark brown yarn to switch colors seamlessly.

  2. Yarn over (YO), insert the hook into the next stitch, YO, and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook). YO and pull through 2 loops (1 incomplete dc made; 2 loops remain).

  3. In the same stitch, repeat step 2 two more times until you have 4 loops on your hook (3 incomplete double crochets).

  4. Drop the brown yarn, pick up the main body color, YO, and pull through all 4 loops to close the cluster, then switch back to the main color.

  5. Pop the cluster forward to create a rounded, distinct hoof.
