Maybe I will soon add here tens of Learn how to crochet and NEW crochet chonky plushie ideas.

This time, the plushies are high-sew, but overall, they should be easier and quicker, with most of them being completed in less than 45 minutes. The Platypus plushie, however, is completely no-sew, and I have also ranked it the top of what I have discussed, ever. With all that said, let’s learn these plushies now!

Suggestion #1: Crochet Chonky Plush Turtle Pattern

Summer is finally here, so you have a good reason to crochet this CUTE chubby turtle plushie with super-bulky yarn. It is crocheted in separate parts for the shell, limbs, and head. So, definitely requires more sewing than all of the plushies I have discussed here.

Give this turtle plushie a try if you are looking for a masterclass to crochet a plushie and want to see the whole process, as the tutorial spans 1 hour. We shall first crochet the top of the shell, then the bottom, and sew them with the needle.

So, it is a high-sew crochet plushie that I recommend only if you are comfortable sewing with a darning needle and can better hide the tails. Otherwise, it may end up less neat and deformed. Crochet the shell in pink, aqua, blue, or any coastal-inspired color.

Suggestion #2: Crochet Chonky Cat Plushie Pattern

Let’s crochet a low-sew chubby non-doll cat plushie that can sit on your palm with this pattern. It is also crocheted in multiple parts, including the ears, legs, and tail. However, this time, be sure to be good at sewing as the sewable parts are much smaller.

The cat has a cute embroidered face, also having eyebrows and a sewn nose. I like the chubby body as it is basic and should be easy to crochet, even if you are a beginner.

You can also crochet it in Siamese cat colors or make it spotted just like the one we talked about in the easiest crochet plushie discussion. Customize it in your way and make your desk buddy or bag charm!

Luckily, this is a no-sew Platypus plushie, so you will crochet it from the tail up to the head as a single piece. All this is thanks to the crochet bobble stitch and the no-sew techniques. Will you crochet it this summer? Well, why not!

Suggestion #4: Crochet Chonky Frog Plushie Pattern

Let’s remake the VIRAL crochet chubby frog face plushie with glitter eyes and blush, following that pattern. I am recommending this tutorial as it is detailed and contains clear instructions at the top right corner for each step.

It was originally introduced as a beginner plushie project with the slogan “What can you crochet with a crochet sphere?”

Now, you can also crochet it even if you missed it or just want to make another one for gifting to someone. This will make the cutest softie and can be finished in less than 45 minutes. You can also use the traditional green to crochet it!

Suggestion #5: Crochet Chonky Cat Plushie (Version 2)

Follow this pattern to crochet a large, lovable loaf cat plushie with a perfect capsule shape for the body, glitter eyes, and no-sew legs. I have brought this long cat plushie from my Big Animal Plushie collection.

In amigurumi, there is a rule that the more rounds you use to crochet something, the better its shape gets. And this crochet plushie cat uses the same, even though there is no increase needed, but it definitely makes this plushie look so neater and professional.

The recommended color for the eyes is green, but you can crochet them in any blue, pink, or other color. Use a 4 mm crochet hook with super bulky yarn to crochet it that way!
