This is part 2 of crocheting the POP-up community-favorite crochet coaster variations series! As I promised, today I will be sharing a crochet flower pop coaster tutorial, and luckily, it is a 3-in-1 tutorial. Introducing the crochet “garden coaster” designed to hug and cradle a mug , with a step-by-step tutorial for beginners. You will actually be crocheting a garden around your mug with the rose, tulip, daisy, Lily of the Valley, butterfly, and more crochet flowers you will be crocheting.
First, we will be crocheting a circular coaster base worked in double crochet rounds using double-stranded yarn and finished with a ruffled, lacy chain border.

Next, various botanical elements are crocheted using fine yarn, including stuffed 3D tulips, rolled roses with leafy sepals, puffed lily of the valley bells, forget-me-nots, and winged butterflies. Leaves and stems are crocheted around thin craft wire and wrapped in green yarn before being glued or sewn around the base rim to create a custom garden display.

Tutorial to Crochet the Garden Flower Coaster
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Why:
Although the base uses standard crochet circles, the project as a whole requires an intermediate skill set:

Crocheting stitches directly over stiff floral wire to encase it.
Creating varied stitch heights up to double treble crochets (dtr) and multi-loop clusters.
Assembling, stuffing, and hot-gluing miniature amigurumi-style components onto a structured wired layout.
