Crochet it as a party tablemate or welcome decoration for Halloween guests. It is just so CUTE & unique.

We shall also crochet a separate yellow strip that twists around the black witch hat of this baby ghost. You can either crochet the pink version of this Halloween ghost, especially for little girls, or the black version.

The baby ghost body pattern is the same classic no-sew boo ghost pattern. So, you can also skip this part and just learn the crochet witch hat pattern. Crochet Flower-Decorated Witch Hat Boo Ghost

Skill Level: Intermediate

This adorable Amigurumi Witch Ghost is the perfect quick make for Halloween! It features a friendly little ghost wearing a tall, colourful witch hat decorated with a bell, small roses, and a little leaf. The pattern is worked in joined rounds and includes fun details like ruffled edges for the ghost’s body and the hat’s wavy brim.

While I would recommend making it in standard cotton yarn (as it would be perfect for small details), this ghost design would look absolutely lovely made with soft velvet or chenille yarn for an extra plush, cuddly finish. The pattern is broken down into simple steps, making it a great weekend craft project.

Materials Needed

Yarn: White (for the ghost), Pink and Orange (for the hat), Green (for the leaf), and a small amount of Pink/Red (for the roses).
Crochet Hook: 2.0mm crochet hook
Safety Eyes: 5mm size.
Extras: An 8mm jingle bell and hot glue (or craft glue).
Tools: Yarn needle, stitch marker, and scissors.

Large Rose

Row 1: Chain 23. Start in 3rd chain from hook. 3 tr in same chain, 1 dc in next chain, 1 sl st in next chain.

Row 2: Repeat (3 tr, 1 dc, 1 sl st) to end of chain. Fasten off. Roll tightly into rose and glue base.

Small Rose

Row 1: Chain 17. Follow same pattern as large rose, then roll and glue.

Leaf (Green Yarn)

Row 1: Chain 7. 1 dc in 2nd chain, 1 htr, 2 tr, 1 htr, 1 dc. Fasten off and tie ends.

Hat Rope

Chain 40 with beige or brown yarn. Fasten off.

Assembly

Ghost Body: Count down to Round 9 of the ghost body and sew one arm on each side.
Eyes: Glue the 5mm safety eyes between Round 8 and Round 9. Leave exactly 2 empty stitches between the two eyes.
Hat Details: Wrap the Hat Rope (Chain 40) around the orange stripe of the hat. Pull the loose ends to the inside of the hat to hide them.
Decorating: Glue the green leaf and both roses to the front base of the hat. Glue the small craft bell right next to the flowers.
Finish: Place the completed witch hat on top of the ghost!
