These summer tops come with shoulder straps instead, which makes them EXTRA comfy and a little quicker.
These designs feature the corded, wide, striped, and beautifully edged straps (ruffles and rose flowers), too. As for the stitch pattern, we will be using solid, mesh, and stripe stitches, which should be easy for beginners.
The decorative patterns, however, such as the wavy edging around the hem and ruffle pattern, will require advanced stitches. But, overall, these top patterns are beginner-friendly, easy to adjust in size, and work up fast. In fact, 3 of them require the classical construction method.

Crochet Simple Top Pattern
Let’s crochet an open-back halter top with slip stitch shoulder cords following this pattern. Three sizes are covered in the tutorial, including from small to large. Looks great in dark colors such as burgundy and midnight blue, dark teal, and similar ones.
The cord is threaded through the top neckline and then crisscrossed through the sides of the back to make an adjustable, open-back closure.
This also makes the top even more elegant with a ruffled edging as the body is crocheted from double crochet only. There is also a chevron bottom hem that adds a small skirt to it. Overall, this is a perfect SUMMER top.
Crochet Fast Sleeveless Top Pattern
This button-up front Tank top is a simple and fast crochet top with a beautiful alternating sc and dc texture. Worked using the most basic method for crocheting the tops – crochet two front and back panels, and straps separately.
You will also find a way to crochet with a solid front. With a 74cm height for XL, it is designed to be a cropped crochet top, but you can definitely crochet it as much as you wish, as the pattern is repetitive until the last row.
The straps are also crocheted with the same stitch. Be sure to try in light colors such as aqua, baby pink, light blue, and indigo using 100% cotton yarn.

Crochet Flared Sleeveless Top Pattern
This crochet babydoll flared crop top is a lacy yarn summer top with puff flower charms in the front. Pretty lightweight, comfy, and breathable, it should be, and don’t worry, there is a guide in the beginning to make it small to XL!
The hem is also ruffled along with the armhole edging, and there is a basic mesh stitch used on the bodice, too.
You can also add a second ruffled layer down the hem, and it would look so nice. For the flowers, you can choose purple, pink, and yellow.
Crochet Flower Sleeveless Top Pattern
This crochet top with rose edging is crocheted similarly to the ROSE bouquet blanket. It is a flared sleevesless top designed for both spring and summer, and can definitely be crocheted in any size other than an 8-year-old baby girl.
There are 3D rose buds all around the bottom hem and shoulder straps, and leaf trim, too. The strap is roughly 24 cm long for baby size, and you can use this as a base measurement.
Similar to the bouquet blanket, features include radial mesh linings and a wide mesh stitch bodice. You can also crochet the roses in purple, red adn even yellow.

Crochet Striped Sleeveless Top Pattern
Learn how to crochet a colorful, checkered stripes crochet top using a mix of off-white yarn and various yarn scraps with this pattern. The project is worked from the bottom up in a round.
This is a Tank top with alternating cluster mesh and solid rows of double crochet, referred to as the colored and beige sides.
7 colors in total are recommended for this top. The alternating pattern is also worked in the straps but only 3 rows are needed, so you would orefer the colored row to sit in the middle.
