I am a crochet designer, macramé maker and a crafter who also loves doing MATH.

In this Weekly discussion, I will talk about these ways to crochet the cutest spring-specific amigurumi that I wanna show you now. Whether it’s the bumblebee, butterfly, or flower amigurumi you are obsessed with, you will find these ways the most elegant, colorful, quick, and easy.

So, you can crochet these amigurumi for spring as you watch the tutorial. All are small, so use them as spring bag charms.

Crochet A Bee Amigurumi

This is a miniature bumblebee amigurumi that can be crocheted from a striped amigurumi ball. The design is so clever and simple that you will want to crochet it immediately.

See how the wings are crocheted as a pair of flat crochet rounds and antennae as a length of chains.

Even with that simple design, this bee amigurumi is so cute and has been quite popular on Social Media. If you did not try it before, crochet it this spring as a keychain.

Crochet A Colorful Butterfly Amigurumi

This smiling butterfly amigurumi displays an unmatched use of pastel self-striping yarn. In your remake, you can either crochet both the wings with self-striping yarn or one wing or body only. Keeping that in mind, you can try a total of 4 color variations.

With pastel blue, red, yellow, aqua, green, and more, all in one miniature amigurumi, it is a not-to-miss spring project.

You have to crochet the body and sphere head as a single piece and four separate wings. Wanna crochet it?

Crochet A Daisy Flower Amigurumi

With the smiling and blushingly yellow centre, this mini daisy flower amigurumi is a must-have keychain pair. While it has been a tradition to crochet dasiy with eyes, such a cute and still simple design has not been introduced before.

The petals around the head look as if the daisy is wearing a tulle. This last-minute gift for girls needs a basic no-sew pattern that you will want to follow immediately. Try either the purple, white, or the pink petal (yes, it need not be a daisy exactly).

Crochet A Dragonfly Amigurumi

Let’s crochet another spring bug amigurumi with a clever and simple but cute design. Notice how the head is a small amigurumi ball, the wings are bent-from-centre crochet ovals, and the body is a crochet spinner.

With all these parts assembled, you end up with a cute smiling dragonfly that is a must-have spring present.

Beige yarn for the body is a great choice. If you want to crochet it for a girl, try the dragonfly with bow headband pattern using pink.

While if wanna crochet it for a boy, try the dragonfly with hat pattern. Don’t miss crocheting a loop for making it hangable.

Crochet A Mini Bee Doll

Let’s crochet a miniature Bee amigurumi with the head surrounded by the flower petals. You are gonna learn the petals in three styles, including a Daisy, a Sunflower, and a Rose. Luckily, all three versions have been taught in the same tutorial.

Unlike the first, the designer made a separate striped body, which is way smaller than the head. This gives it a kawaii Chibi look, making it a spring must-have.

(Note that this is a little advanced bee doll pattern; for a simple one, check the last idea.)

Crochet A Butterfly (Version 2)

This is the second pattern to crochet a mini, colorful butterfly, featuring a different wing pattern. The 49-minute tutorial is subtitled, allowing you to use certain online tools to learn it with a written script. Here is the clever catch: the wings will be made by folding an 8-petal motif in half.

The motif beautifully uses granny stitch, shell stitch, and picot stitch, along with color changes to make the most elegant butterfly wings. This is a stitch sampler and a gift pattern. So, don’t miss it.

Crochet A Mini Bee Doll (Version 2)

With this pattern, learn how to crochet the base bee doll for the “Flower Bee.” This features a big head, a miniature striped body, eyebrows, a smile, blush, and green arms.

The beige head for the bee looks funny, so if you want it for a little serious occasion, crochet the 2nd version, which has a yellow head and blue arms.

Pattern #1: Crochet A Capybara Amigurumi

Let’s crochet a Love Present variation of viral sleepy capybara amigurumi. This is gonna be a sitting capybara holding a little amigurumi heart. The signature muzzle colorwork with embroidery is added in a quite authentic way.

I like how it is not a copycat of the viral version, but there is a different shape for the chubby head, crocheted along with the body. Also, there are no bobble stitch limbs, but they are crocheted separately and attached later on.

I recommend using deep red instead of pink. The amigurumi heart is quicker and easier to crochet. You can also try my 2-round crochet heart. Also, add blush to the cheeks before gifting.

Suggestion #2: Crochet A Pig Baby Animal

This crying baby pig amigurumi is somewhat a unique and definitely cute emotional support toy. Usually, stress or support toys come up with smiling or laughing faces, but this one is a better healer.

Perfect way to express “It’s okay to cry, sometimes” whenever you or your friend is facing a hard time in life. Gonna be a little pig doll with embroidery tears, blush, and an optional kawaii anger symbol if you want a little more expression.

My favorite feature is how one ear is folded, the cross on the belly, the chubby body, and the oval muzzle. Can be put up in less than 30 minutes.

Way #3: Crochet A Dino Baby Animal

Follow this easy-to-follow chart symbol pattern to crochet the cutest baby dinosaur amigurumi ever. This is gonna be a sitting Chibi dino amigurumi, which means the head is about as big as the body, and you can make it your table buddy.

The head construction is the same as a crochet pill, which is one of the easiest crochet patterns. The spikes are also crocheted separately as a joined row of 3ch, increase, and single crochet.

So, there is definitely much sewing needed, so bear that in mind before preparing materials for it. Smaller, so it also makes a keychain.

Pattern #4: Crochet A Chick Baby Animal

Let’s crochet an easy chubby chick in eggshell amigurumi that can be presented in four styles. That is, without the shell, the shell on top, putting the chick inside the shell, or the chick inside the broken egg by crocheting two shells.

I have already shown you the plushie variant of this amigurumi, and it looked simply awesome. You can also try it using thin velvet yarn instead of cotton.

Just from the base of the body, you can see how easy and familiar it should be to crochet. It will also not hurt to crochet a larger, more huggable chick by using bulky chenille yarn. Crochet a baby shower gift.

Suggestion #5: Crochet A Panda Amigurumi

Isn’t this panda face amigurumi an irresistible present for a girl? Why not? It wears a little red bow and has the cutest panda face ever. You can make yours even cuter by adding blush to the cheeks.

All this is due to the perfect not-just-a-round shape for the base head, a balanced size for the ears, crocheted oval eyes, use of plastic nose, blush, and simple embroidery.

You can also use the base head for any other animal, from a crochet bear to a dog, a capybara to a cat. My immediate recommendation would be to crochet the Grizzly Bear with heart keychain.

Way #6: Crochet A Capybara Amigurumi (Version 2)

This is a chubby capybara head amigurumi wearing a mandarin hoodie, perfect to crochet this summer. The idea is definitely not a new idea, but this one is a little bigger, well-designed, and the face shape is way better.

If you want to crochet an easier version, you can try the “sphere capybara head” amigurumi. I have provided the link to the tutorial for that one below, too.

For the muzzle, you will want to use a brown toner. The hoodie is also removable. So, you can crochet different fruits like a strawberry, an orange, and a watermelon one, too. Wanna try? Only requires 14 minutes.
