Crochet these unique lacy Summer top designs to stand out this summer, including full-sleeve, tank, cropped, and flared tops. There are pretty interesting stitch patterns to choose from. That is the easiest, like mesh and cluster lace, to the advanced ones, such as lacy shell stitch and joined flower stitch.
All of them are elegant, comfortable, and easy to crochet in any size. This is thanks to the video patterns I will be linking to. Plus, many of them are colorful, too.
Note for You: This is one of my discussions on new SUMMER top ideas with step-by-step video tutorials. You can also see “The Most Elegant Summer Tops” and “Textured Summer Tops.”
Crochet A Colorful Lacy Summer Top

This is a bell-sleeve striped lace blouse that displays an exceptional work of lacy and solid shell stitch all around on both sides. It is worked top-down in separate panels for the front, back, and sleeves.
You can mix this top with some of your leftover yarn and also use self-striping yarn if you don’t like changing the color after each row.
The featured color pattern also includes an ombre yarn along with the solid ones. It is, without doubt, the most elegant lacy cover-up top. The stitch pattern is repetitive, so the size is easily adjustable.
- Yarn: 250 grams total of 2 mm acrylic fiber (50g each of five different colors).
- Crochet Hook: 2.5 m
Crochet A Mesh Lacy Summer Top

Let’s craft an easy full-sleeve crop top that can be worn over a camisole for beach visits. Requires the most basic mesh pattern, also called “Crochet Square Filet.” For this top in particular, the number of starting chains must be a multiple of four.
It actually works in rounds and requires managing increases at the four corners for the raglan sleeves. You can crochet it with any single color of yarn from aqua to cream and even black.
- Yarn: Baby Zone (1 mm yarn)
- Crochet Hook: 2.5 mm

Crochet A Lacy Tank Top

This flared tank top is crocheted using a double-crochet cluster V-stitch pattern on both the body and the shoulder straps. Designed for both kids and adults. There is also a use of solid stitching on the top hem and between the bodice and bottom.
This complements nicely with the lacy stitch and makes it look even prettier when worn.
The flowy bottom is worked after joining the top panel in the rounds. It will end up much lighter with the 0.8mm cotton yarn. Overall, this camisole-styled top is a must-have summer wear.
- Yarn: Size 0.8 mm (fine/thread weight).
- Crochet Hook: 1.5 mm.
Crochet A Lacy Flower Top

This is a bit advanced, but a colorful and irresistibly elegant crochet tank top that you won’t want to miss. I have talked about the loopy-petal crochet flower multiple times.
This design requires crocheting and joining the loopy flowers in many colors to make complete panels, and then sewing to crochet a perfect spring-love summer top.
There is also a white edging worked around the shoulder straps and the top hems that feels like a wavy edging. You can complement it with a solid white shirt.

Crochet A Partially Lacy Summer Top

Let’s crochet a top-down, flared, but cropped crochet top with this pattern. This top has raglan short sleeves, a solid bodice, and a long lacy cluster stitch hem. You will want to use a different shade of the main color to crochet the hem.
For example, if you used the aqua like the designer, use light blue for the bottom. Top-down means it is constructed as a single piece by working in the rounds. Looks pretty elegant!
- Yarn: Thin cotton yarn (1 mm thickness).
- Hook: 3.5 mm crochet hook.
- Notions: Stitch markers.
