Back on the “Crochet Must-Have Bag Series,” today I have many irresistible and colorful bag variations to discuss. Multiple crochet bags of what I selected for this Series were featuring flowers in one way or another.

So, I have dedicated this entire part to only crochet bags for spring. Luckily, these are not flower-shaped bags.

Rather, we will be crocheting flower bag charms, stitches, and miniature flowers to attach to. As for bag types, a phone bag is also added this time, and many tote bags. These are simply elegant and my 100% recommendations.

Crochet A Phone Bag

Images By: Chiipp Handmade

Let’s crochet an easy crossbody smartphone bag with a daisy charm following this pattern. It’s a 19cm by 9cm phone bag, which is a perfect size for most smartphones.

There is a flap with a magnetic snap button with the 11-petal daisy flower attached at the top. It also has a white edging that complements the green very nicely.

Worked only as a long standard crochet oval, folded in half, and then sewn. So, it must be easier to crochet even for beginners. I would recommend using any cotton yarn of 2mm thickness.

Drawstring Crochet Bag

This is a Lily of the Valley bouquet bag with an I-cord handle, leaf-tipped drawstrings, and stripes of puff stitch on the body. Regular cotton yarn is used this time; still, the elegance is truly unmatched.

There are alternating light and dark bell flowers, so when the string is drawn, the rim flower arrangement looks twice as beautiful as otherwise.

You will want to crochet the body from the bottom up with alternating double crochet and puff V-stitches. White works the best for the body, in my opinion. For the flowers, choose from purple, yellow, or aqua.

Crossbody Crochet Bag

Strong, easy to crochet, and beautiful, this crochet chunky knit bag is the ultimate market bag option. There is also a 6-petal flower to charm it up using the hanging loop.

I have thrown the link to the tutorial for the flower charm, so definitely crochet it along with the bag.

With the same gauge and materials, you will end up with a 20 cm by 16 cm bag, which might be a little smaller for most practical purposes. However, you can adjust the base and side length easier than ever as the mesh pattern is repetitive and simple. That is a double crochet and chain-1 mesh pattern.

The T-shirt yarn is recommended to make a stronger and bigger bag with even fewer rows. Wanna crochet one? Choose from pink, aqua, sea green, and brown yarn.

Crochet A Tote Bag

Images By: Chiipp Handmade

Crochet this beautiful tote bag with tulip stitch stripes, an elegant ruffled rim, and an optional stuffed tulip charm. Requires the classical tulip stitch that you can crochet using a row of V-stitch in green and puff stitch in pink.

The complementary rows require double crochet in white, which is, in my opinion, mandatory.

You can, however, change pink to purple, red, yellow, or any color from a wide palette offered by nature tulips. The handle is crocheted using a joined crochet block. Just don’t miss crocheting it this spring!

Yarn: Cotton is recommended

Crochet A Tote Bag (Version 2)

Images By: Chiipp Handmade

Let’s crochet a simple but beautiful tote bag with an optional daisy flower charm following this pattern. It is wide enough to hold a large notebook and keep other stuff like a pencil box side-by-side, thanks to the rectangular base at the bottom.

Unlike the previous tote bag, it alternates the solid and mesh rows and finishes with two I-cord handles.

It’s a basic tote bag and very functional. The off-white yarn is a gem for it. So, crochet yours using the same.
